It was initally developped and patented by Saint Gobain, and Nanoe acquired an exclusive licence in 2024. This material is a high tenacity ceramic, with a fracture toughness of 14MPa.m1\/2, when a standard zirconia usually has a fracture toughness of 6MPa.m1\/2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This allows Upryze to withstand much higher level of chocs that any other technical ceramic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","display_one":false,"colonne":"10"},{"acf_fc_layout":"content","title":"Upryze ATZ","text":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upryze is a composite of 85% Ceria and Yttria co doped zirconia, 15% Alumina and a few specific dopants. This composition, issued from Saint Gobain research center, allow this exceptional fracture thoughness, while retaining a good hardness and flexural strength.
